We arrived in Benson in good time for 10.30 kick off.

What a nice surprise for this morning there was no frost and no fog so things were already looking up.

But alas not for long with only 8 players and one injured it looked like the 7 remaining would have a hard game especially as the pitch was marked out full size. But with Mark and Graham talking to the opposition and a few cones later we soon had a smaller pitch marked out.

As Benson won the toss Ducklington was soon leading the attack with "Foxy" making a quick pass to Millie who shot the ball out to Katie Mullis on the wing to take into the Benson goal area.

Katie crossed the ball unstoppable by the Benson defence and was picked up by "Foxy" who’s first time shot was in the back of the net. Wow two minutes into the game and 1-0 up, couldn’t work out who was more surprised the home team supporters or Benson.

The next few minutes saw most of the action in Benson’s half with Gabby Hill having 2 near misses both resulting in corners.

The game progressed but by this time it was clear that Benson were finding our defence, lead by Millie Eaton, impossible to penetrate. A good run by Benson only to be stopped by Millie sending the ball to "Foxy" who after a short run and a super pass to Katie Mullis resulted in another goal.

Benson kicked off only to give the ball to Taisia and after 3 or 4 good passes left Katie on the ball in front of the net , BANG! Another goal.

Duck kept up the pressure with Benson making a couple of runs into the Duck goal area but good defending and goal keeping kept them at bay. Some fine goal keeping by Benson keeper stopped shots by "Foxy", Megan Ostle and Katie Mullis the last shot injured the goalie who had to be side lined until the blood stopped flowing.

Benson earned a couple of corners but again good defending by Duck kept them out , some more good running and passing by midfield Taisia Horne and Megan Ostle. Katie crossed the ball which was picked up by Foxy - another goal.

Benson earned another corner which was picked up by Megan Want, a good kick up field to Taisia a quick pass was made to Megan Ostle on the half way line who carried the ball passed 3 defenders to score a super goal.

The last few minutes of the first half saw shots from "Foxy" and Megan Ostle and 1 more goal in the last minute by Katie Mullis.

2nd half Benson was now back to full strength but Ducklington were not slowing down as Benson soon found out. A corner to Duck put out by Benson defence for another corner, this time Megan slammed the ball into the back of the net. After several goal attempts from Gaby Hill, Megan and "Foxy" keeping the Benson defence on there toes.

Some more good football from the defence left Gaby on the wing who’s fine cross to Katie earns another goal.

Still no real threats from Benson but a good pass from Taisia to Megan Ostle who stormed all the way up the left wing another good goal.

Some more good team work and another goal by foxy, only a few minutes to go could it be 10-0? Yes. Megan Ostle strikes again!

Final score Ducklington 10 Benson 0.

A really good team effort and a well deserved "man" of the match went to Gaby Hill for some awesome defending and forward passing.

Well done girls
